Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This policy applies to every product and service sold by Harpreet Singh, whether purchased on hsingh.app or on a product's own domain. We want you to be satisfied; if something is wrong, email [email protected] and we will sort it out.
Cancelling a subscription
- Cancel any time from your account dashboard or by email. No cancellation fee.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- We do not prorate partial months or years except as stated below.
Monthly subscriptions
- First purchase: refund if requested within 14 days of the first charge, no questions asked. Payment processing fees are deducted as described under How much is refunded.
- Renewals: refundable if requested within 7 days of the renewal charge and the Service has not been materially used in the new period. Outside that window, cancel to prevent the next charge.
Yearly subscriptions
- Refund within 14 days of the initial or renewal charge, less payment processing fees.
- After 14 days, a prorated refund of the unused whole months is available on request, less the yearly discount and payment processing fees.
Usage-based (metered) plans
Charges for usage already consumed (API calls, renders, storage, bandwidth) are not refundable, because the cost has been incurred. Charges caused by a fault on our side, such as failed requests that were billed, are always refunded or credited.
One-time purchases
Digital one-time purchases (report exports, export packs, downloads) are refundable within 14 days if the item did not work as described or could not be delivered. Because they are delivered instantly, we cannot refund purchases that have been successfully downloaded and used, except where the law requires.
How much is refunded
Payment processors charge a non-refundable fee on every transaction. When we refund a charge, Stripe returns the money to you but does not return that fee to us. Refunds are therefore calculated as:
Refund = amount you paid − payment processing fee − any usage already consumed (metered plans only).
The processing fee is what Stripe charged us for your specific payment, typically around 3% of the transaction plus a fixed amount of roughly $0.30, varying by card type, currency and country. We never deduct more than the actual fee. The exact deduction is shown on your refund confirmation email.
The fee is not deducted, and you receive the full amount, when the refund is our fault or required by law: duplicate charges, charges taken after you cancelled, billing errors, service outages we caused, discontinued products, and refunds you are entitled to under consumer-protection law such as the EU/UK 14-day cooling-off right.
Always refunded in full
No processing fee is deducted for any of these:
- Duplicate charges or charges made in error.
- Charges taken after you cancelled.
- Any paid period in which a Service was unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours because of us.
- Prepaid periods for a Service we discontinue.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. Your confirmation email itemises the amount paid, any processing fee or usage deducted, and the amount returned. We do not refund to a different card or in cash. Where a refund is issued, paid features may be disabled immediately.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. We resolve almost every issue within a day, and a chargeback can take weeks. Accounts with fraudulent chargebacks may be closed.
Statutory rights
Nothing here limits any rights you have under consumer-protection law in your country, including cooling-off rights in the EU and UK for digital services where they apply.
